Information We Collect
When you use X Media Downloader, we collect minimal information necessary to provide the service:
- URLs you submit: We temporarily retain the X/Twitter URL while a download is active so interrupted work can resume. It is removed from job state when processing ends and is not stored permanently.
- Advertiser information: When you submit a sponsorship, we store your advertiser name, email address, destination URL, uploaded banner images, review history, campaign activity, and billing references to operate your campaign.
- Usage statistics: We track aggregate processing statistics (total media bytes prepared) but this is not linked to individual users.
- Server logs: Standard server logs may include IP addresses, browser information, and timestamps for security and debugging purposes. These are automatically deleted after 30 days.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information solely to:
- Process your download requests
- Review and display sponsorships, manage subscriptions, and provide advertisers with campaign reporting
- Display aggregate statistics on the site
- Maintain and improve the service
- Prevent abuse and ensure security
Data Storage
Downloaded media files are temporarily stored on our servers and automatically deleted within 1 hour after processing finishes. We do not permanently store any media you download.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Stripe: Stripe processes sponsorship payments and manages billing information. Card details are entered on Stripe-hosted pages and are not stored by SpaceDownloader. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit, what pages they view, and what other sites they used prior to visiting. We use this information solely to improve our service. Google Analytics collects the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit the site, but we do not combine this with other data to identify you personally. Advertising
We display approved, directly sponsored banner images hosted on our servers. These placements do not load advertiser scripts or third-party ad-network code. We count approximate banner views and clicks and show aggregate totals to advertisers. Clicking a banner takes you to the advertiser's website, which has its own privacy practices. We do not share submitted download URLs or downloaded-file details with advertisers.
Cookies
We do not use cookies for our core download service. Google Analytics and Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies for analytics and payment services. Your browser locally stores download recovery information and private sponsorship management links so you can return to your work. Private management and owner review pages do not include Google Analytics. You can clear local storage and manage cookies through your browser settings; keep a separate copy of your private sponsorship link before clearing browser data.
Your Rights
Contact us to request access to or deletion of advertiser information. We may need to retain billing records or other information needed to fulfill an active subscription or meet applicable obligations. Downloaded media remains temporary as described above.
Children's Privacy
This service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
